Diary - 27 December, 2008

It was a sunny Saturday. I joined an outdoor service with the Girl Guides today. We saw a dirty beach when we arrive the beach. We started collecting rubbish. There were paper, plastic bags, bottles, cans, braches, broken glasses. We picked the rubbish and put them into the rubbish bags. We spent a whole morning to clean the beach.

At noon, we finished cleaning the beach. We than had a picnic on the beach. After the picnic, we played balls and built some sand castles on the beach. We had a very happy day.

At about 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we went home by a coach. We were tried but we were very happy. We sang a lot songs until we were back to Kowloon.

Diary

This afternoon, I played with my model planes. Dad gave me this new plane three days ago. It was my birthday present. Starting from my six-year-old birthday, Dad gave me A model plane every year, and this is my fifth one now. How I love it!

I like traveling too. My first time to ride on a plane was three years ago. We sent for a tour to Japan. The plane was large and crowded. The air hostesses were beautiful, and so were their uniforms. They were friendly. One of them gave me a TOY PLANE to play with. Wow, that was my favorite! Mum always said, "Sue, you're growing up now. You should think about what you want to be in the future. "I think I want to be an air hostess. I like serving people and making them happy.

Read the passage and answer the questions.
1. What did the author's dad give him?
He gave him a new model plane.

2. When was the first time the author rode on a plane?
He rode on a plane was he was three years old.

3. Why did the author like the air hostesses?
They were beautiful and friendly. One of them gave him a toy plane.

4. What did the author want to be in the future?
He wanted to be an air hostess.
